1. How to use cold room doors properly?
In order to prevent the damage of cold room doors, please open or close doors lightly.
In order to prevent the leakage of cold air, kindly close the cold room doors quickly. If we open the cold room doors for a long time, outside hot air will enter inside of room, caused severe frost of fins, then it will have bad cooling effect.
2. How to display products properly? Ensure the smooth flow of outlets and suction inlets:
When we display goods in cold rooms, don’t block the suction/exhaust port of the evaporator, keep the suction/exhaustion port be open always, and distribute the cooling evenly. In order to make cold air distributed well, the left, right, up and down of the goods should be 5cm distance each other.
We often see that the suction inlet is blocked by the goods, which will reduce the intake of cold air, resulting in decrease of cooling capacity and damage of the goods.
3. We couldn’t stack goods on top of the cold room ceiling
Cold rooms ceiling panel is designed as non-load-bearing, and there are soem refrigerant piping and electrical wiring layouts, in order to avoid accidental damages, users are not allowed to stack goods on cold room ceiling panels.
4. Keep the condenser be clean and smooth always
Poor ventilation caused high operating temperature, it will shorten the lifetime and increase energy consumption. We should keep condenser fins clean and smooth always.
5. Tips on cold room defrosting:
Cold room defrosting is automatic defrosting with electric heating. When the humidity is high in summer, it is easy to freeze for the evaporator, please do not hit ice cubes with hard items, which may cause the leakage of the evaporator coil. The correct method is using warm water to remove ice cubes or increasing defrosting times appropriately
6. Maintenance and repair for the compressor:
  1. The freezing oil level is between the upper and lower limits of the oil monitor, and the oil is not cloudy.
  2. Using liquid sight glass to check the refrigerant charge.
  3. Check the compressor oil level.
  4.  Check the compressor crankcase heater operation.
  5.  Check the main power supply and control voltage.
  6. Check the appearance of the condensing
  7. Check the system pressure.
  8.  Check the cooling system, if it has leakage.
  9. Check the suction filter and liquid drying filter.
  10. Check that all bolts, fittings and piping clamps are tight.
  11. Inspect the condenser fan blade paddles and motor assembly for cracks, loose screws, or connection bolts.
  12. Check the suction / exhaust / liquid refrigerant pressure and temperature.
  13. Check the compressor’scurrent, over-heatdegrees, liquid over-cold degrees and ambient temperature.
Other notes:

1. Temperatureof machine room :

Commonly machine room temperature is below 35 °C, short-term in summer can be below 40 °C. If machine room temperature is too high, it will cause the following problems:
A. If the suction temperature and exhaust temperature increases, the cooling capacity will decrease.
B. The reduction of cooling capacity will increase power consumption and operating cost
2. Pay attention to the equipment inside the room when we display goods.
Normally the capacity of goods incoming does not exceed 20% of the total room capacity. Don’t damage water pipes, refrigerant pipes, etc.

3.Keep cleaning cold room regularly:

Keep cleaning cold rooms regularly can avoid peculiar smell in the room.
Please turn off the power switch when cleaning. Don’t let water immerse into light’s switch, evaporator junction box, etc.

When food is put into the cold storage room, the storage temperature will gradually reach -25°C after a period of time. There is no special cold storage design process and technical requirements during this period. Small Tips:
Different with cooler room, the foundation of the freezer room is affected by the low temperature and the moisture in the soil is easily frozen. Due to the volume expansion after the soil freezes, it will cause ground cracking and deformation of the entire building structure.
For this reason, in addition to having an effective thermal insulation layer, the floor of the low-temperature freezer room must be treated under the thermal insulation layer in order to prevent the freezing of the soil.
At present, the domestic and foreign cold storage floor heat treatment methods mainly include the following types:
First, the overhead floor. It can be divided into two kinds of high overhead floor and low overhead floor. The elevated platform is a basement below the first floor of the cold storage. The basement can be used for air temperature or other purposes. In the low-rise, the first floor is lifted by a beam-slab system or a ridge wall. No matter whether it is an overhead or low-elevation floor, the cold storage base soil is separated from the floor by an air space to cool the interior of the building. The amount will not be directly transmitted to the subsoil, but the temperature of the inter-air layer can still cause freezing damage to the subsoil.
Second, ventilated floor. In the cold storage floor below the insulation layer buried ventilation ducts.  Ventilation pipes are generally laid with cement pipes or cylinder tiles. Ventilation floor can be divided into natural ventilation and mechanical ventilation. The natural ventilation floor is based on outdoor air as the heat source. When the outdoor air passes through the ventilation pipe under the effect of hot pressure and wind pressure, it will continuously replenish the heat, so that the lower part of the insulation layer of the cold store is always maintained above 0°C.
The ventilated floor uses a method of sending steam into the ventilation ducts to increase the temperature in the lower part of the insulation layer of the cold storage.
This method is generally used during the heating season. Usually fans are used to send outdoor air into the ventilation ducts. Natural ventilation floors are generally used for cold storage in areas with short depths and high outdoor temperatures in winter. Mechanical ventilation floors are generally used for large-scale cold storage, but ventilation ducts must be organized through ventilation ducts for planned heat transfer.

Refrigeration System for industrial freezer rooms

Compressor compresses the lower pressure steam into higher pressure steam, which reduces the volume of steam and raises the pressure.  The compressor sucks in the lower-pressure working fluid vapor from the evaporator to increase the pressure and send it to the condenser.  The condenser condenses into a liquid with higher pressure. After the throttle is throttled, it becomes a liquid with a lower pressure. Low liquid is sent to the evaporator, absorbs heat in the evaporator and evaporates into low-pressure steam, and is sent to the inlet of the compressor, thereby completing the refrigeration cycle.

Maintenance of the industrial freezer rooms

  1. After the installing of cold storage room or reusing after long-term decommissioning, the cooling rate should be reasonable, it is advisable to control it at 8-10°C per day, and maintain it at 0°C for a certain period of time.

  3. Set with regular defrosting , change filters regularly, etc.

1.1 Industrial Cold room panel material

The insulation material of OnlyKem Industrial cold room is polyurethane foamed composite insulation boards with spray-coated steel plates or stainless steel plates, with different thickness for different room temperature. Insulation material is flame-retardant, non-chlorofluorocarbons. Add a certain proportion of reinforcing materials to improve performance, but will not therefore reduce the thermal insulation properties.

1.2 Industrial Cold room panel installation requirement

The seam between cold room panels must be sealed well, and the joint seam between the two panels is less than 1.5mm. At the same time, the structure is required to be solid and reliable. After assembling, all the joints of the cold room panels should be coated with a silicone sealant. Following drawing for your reference.
When the roof panel span exceeds 6m or the ceiling of the cold storage is heavy, the ceiling of the cold storage must be hanged. The position of the bolts should be selected from the middle point of the cold room panel. In order to keep the cold room panel to be as even as possible, the mushroom type screw, hanger and U-shaped channel steel must be used for fixing according to the diagram.

1.3 Industrial Cold room door

1) The door frames of low-temperature industrial cold room should be embedded with electric heating to prevent the sealing strips of the doors from being frozen. When electric heating is used, electric heating protection devices and safety measures must be provided.
2) The industrial cold room door has a door lock and the door lock has a safety unlocking function, we call it escape device.

1.Accessories

1) The interior of the warehouse is equipped with moisture-proof and explosion-proof LED lamps, which can work at low temperature. The lampshade should be damp-proof, anti-corrosion, anti-acid and anti-alkali. The degree of lighting in the industrial cold room should meet the requirements for the entry and exit of goods.
2) Pipeline holes must be sealed, moisture-proof and heat-insulated.
3) Industrial cold room should have a pressure balance device to prevent and eliminate the pressure difference between the cold room and outside.
4) Control panel requires installation near the Kumen.
5) Drainage floor drains must be installed in the freezer to allow the sewage to drain when cleaning the cold storage.

2.1 Installation of air cooler

1) The installation position of the air cooler shall be far away from the cold room door, and in the middle of the wall, the air cooler shall be kept horizontal;
2) The cooling fan is mounted on the top panel or the steel frame of warehouse, and its fixing must use a special nylon screw (material nylon 66) to prevent cooling capacity leak;
3) When fixing the air cooler with bolts, it is required to install wooden blocks with a length of more than 100mm and a thickness of more than 5mm on the top panel to increase the load-bearing area of the storage panel.
4) The distance between air cooler and the back wall is 300-500mm.
5) The wind direction of the air cooler cannot be reversed to ensure that the cooler blows outward;
6) When the refrigerator defrosts, the fan motor must be disconnected to prevent hot air from blowing into the cold room when defrosting;
7) The height of goods should be at least 30cm below the bottom of the air cooler.

2.2 The installation of refrigeration pipe

1) When installing the expansion valve, the temperature-sensing package must be fastened to the upper part of the horizontal return pipe, and ensure good contact with the return pipe. Heat insulation should be provided outside the return pipe to prevent the temperature from being influenced by the temperature of the storage tank.
2) Install the oil return bend at the bottom of the riser pipe before the chiller return pipe climbs out of the warehouse;
3) When a processing room shares a unit with a cold room or medium-temperature cabinet, an evaporation pressure regulating valve must be added before connecting the re-circulating line of the refrigerated processing room with other refrigerating or medium-temperature cabinet pipes;
4) Each cold room must be equipped with separate ball valves on the return air pipe and the liquid supply pipe for debugging and maintenance.

2.3 The installation of water drainage pipe

1) Drainage pipelines running in the cold room should be as short as possible.
2) The cold room’s drainage pipe should have a certain slope, so that the defrost water can be smoothly discharged outside the storehouse;
3) The cold storage with working temperature less than 5°C must be equipped with insulation pipe (thickness greater than 25mm) in the drain inside the warehouse;
4) Heating wire must be installed in the freezer drain;
5) Connection pipes outside the cold storage must be installed with drainage traps to ensure a certain liquid seal in order to prevent large amounts of hot air outside the library from entering the cold storage.

For example, a cold room uses a condenser to get rid of heat extracted from the interior of the unit to the outside air. A condenser unit used in refrigeration systems typically has a heat exchanger section to cool down and condense incoming refrigerant vapor into liquid, a compressor to raise the pressure of the refrigerant and move it along, and a fan for blowing outside air through the heat exchanger section to cool the refrigerant inside. A typical configuration of such a condenser unit is as follows: The heat exchanger section wraps around the sides of the unit with the compressor inside. In this heat exchanger section, the refrigerant goes through multiple tube passes, which are surrounded by heat transfer fins through which cooling air can move from outside to inside the unit. There is a motorized fan inside the condenser unit near the top, which is covered by some grating to keep any objects from accidentally falling inside on the fan. The fan is used to blow the outside cooling air in through the heat exchange section at the sides and out the top through the grating. These condenser units are located on the outside of the building they are trying to cool, with tubing between the unit and building, one for vapor refrigerant entering and another for liquid refrigerant leaving the unit. Of course, an electric power supply is needed for the compressor and fan inside the unit.

Air cooled – If the condenser is located on the outside of the unit, the air cooled condenser can provide the easiest arrangement. These types of condensers eject heat to the outdoors and are simple to install.

Since dirt can cause serious issues with the condensers performance, it is highly recommended that these be kept clear of dirt.
